Notice is hereby given by the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, Wisconsin, that it will receive bids for road work for the 2020 season including reconstruction, hot mix, sealcoating and crack filling on various roads within the Township until Friday, May 8th at 10AM, 2020 at the Town of Excelsior Hall at 100 E. Broadway St, Rock Springs, WI 53961

The bids will be opened and read with awards being made at the monthly Town Board meeting on May 13, 2020 at 6pm.

The town of Excelsior reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or accept the bid most advantageous to the Town. The envelope must be marked “Sealed Road Bids”.

The Town of Excelsior Board of Supervisors is asking the residents to approve a referendum to approve an ordinance passed by the Excelsior Town Board that would make the offices of Town Clerk and Town Treasurer, or the combined office of Town Clerk/Treasurer appointed positions. Wisconsin state statutes require the voters approve this ordinance change via a referendum question.

                                                                         Spring Election April 3, 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that at an election to be held in the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, WI on April 3, 2018 the following Resolution will be submitted to a vote of the people:

                                                                RESOLUTION NO. 12-13-2017

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PLACEMENT OF A NON- BINDING REFERENDUM ON THE APRIL 3, 2018 SPRING ELECTION BALLOT RELATING TO BORROWING OF MONIES.

                WHEREAS, the Town Board has received significant input from members of the public

relating to dangerous intersection on North Reedsburg and Vogel Rd.

               

                WHEREAS, the Town Board finds that it would be of assistance to the Board to obtain additional elector input on the question of whether or not the Town should borrow money to improve North Reedsburg Road at the intersection with Vogel Road at an estimated cost of $200,000.00.

                WHEREAS, the Town Board has determined that an efficient way to gather elector input

is by means of a non-binding referendum:

                NOW THEREFORE, the Town Board of the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, Wisconsin

does hereby resolve that the following question shall be included on the April 3, 2018 spring election ballot as a non-binding referendum:

This is a non-binding Referendum for advisory purposes only.

Shall the Excelsior Town Board borrow money to improve North Reedsburg Road at the intersection with Vogel Road at an estimated cost of $200,000.00?

 

A yes vote will indicate to the Excelsior Town Board that the electors favor the Board borrow money to improve North Reedsburg Road at the intersection with Vogel Road at an estimated cost of $200,000.00

A no vote will indicate to the Excelsior Town Board that the electors are not in favor of Board borrow money to improve North Reedsburg Road at the intersection with Vogel Road at an estimated cost of $200,000.00.

Introduced and adopted by the Town Board of the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, Wisconsin this 13th day of December, 2017.

The question will appear on the ballot as follows:

“Should the Excelsior Town Board borrow money to improve North Reedsburg Road at the intersection with Vogel Road at an estimated cost of $200,000.00?”
