PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town of Excelsior Plan Commission will hold a public hearing on April 24th, 2024 beginning at 6:30 PM. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, in the Excelsior Town Hall at 100 E. Broadway St., Rock Springs, WI 53961 to consider enacting a resolution to adopt the Comprehensive Plan amendment as recommended by the Town of Excelsior Plan Commission.

 

The Town of Excelsior adopted a Comprehensive Plan under the authority of and procedures established by Section 66.1001 of the Wisconsin Statutes in 2009. The Town of Excelsior Plan Commission resolution recommends adoption of an amendment of the comprehensive plan to update demographic data throughout the plan; policies and objectives; and amend the Town’s Future Land Use Map.

 

Testimony of persons to appear at the public hearing; any person so desiring will be given a reasonable opportunity to express their opinions and/or request further information on the matter before the Plan Commission.

Advertisement for Bids

TOWN OF EXCELSIOR, SAUK CO. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given by the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, Wisconsin, that it will receive bids for Road work for 2024 season including hot mix and  sealcoating on various roads within the Township until: Thursday March 14th, 2024, at 10 AM, at the Town of Excelsior Town Hall, Rock Springs.

The bids will be opened and read, with awards being made at the monthly meeting on March 14th, 2024 at 6:30 pm.

The Town of Excelsior reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or accept the bid most advantageous to the Town.  The envelope must be marked “Sealed Road Bids”.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE QUORUM

Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Town of Excelsior Board of Supervisors might be present for the WTA Sauk County Unit Meeting being held at Honey Creek Town Hall E8712 county Rd C, North Freedom, WI  53951 on February 15th, 2024 beginning at 7PM.

Though no Town of Excelsior business will be acted on, this notice is being posted to comply with Wisconsin Open Meetings Law, which requires public notice to be given when a quorum of a governmental body may be gathered together, unless the event is for educational purposes only.

Garbage Pickup Cancellation

Due to inclement weather there will be no garbage pick up normally scheduled for Friday, January 12th.  The next garbage and recycling pick up date is Friday, January 19th.

 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
TOWN OF EXCELSIOR, ABLEMAN ROAD
Sauk County, Wisconsin
The Town of Excelsior will receive sealed bids via the online electronic bid service through QuestCDN
VBid online bidding or by sealed paper copy. Sealed paper bids shall be delivered to TEAM Engineering,
Inc. located at 118E Main Street, Reedsburg, WI 53959 for the TOWN OF EXCELSIOR, ABLEMAN
ROAD Project by February 29, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., C.S.T. Both electronic and paper bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud at that time.
The work under this contract shall consist of grading, base, asphalt pulverizing, asphaltic pavement,
culvert pipes, concrete curb and gutter, salvaged topsoil, traffic control and all incidental items necessary
to complete the work as shown on the plans and included in the proposal and contract.
Bidding Documents
The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: TEAM Engineering, Inc., 118 E Main Street, Reedsburg, WI

Printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office for a non-refundable deposit of $60.00,
including shipping, upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. Digital version of the
Bidding Documents also may be obtained online at QuestCDN.com using ebid doc#8915553 upon receipt of a
non-refundable deposit of $60.00 which includes online bid fees. Any questions may be directed to the engineer,

Bid Consideration
No bid shall be considered unless accompanied by the Proposal Agreement fully executed by the bidder.
The bidder that is awarded the contract agrees to execute the contract agreement, payment bond, and
performance bond within fifteen (15) days after the Notice of Award, begin work no later than ten (10)
days after written Notice to Proceed, and complete all work included under the terms of the contract in the
allotted time.
No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least five
percent (5%) of the amount bid, payable to the OWNER as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the
Bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract.
The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the Bidder as soon as the contract is signed. If after 15
days the Bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the OWNER as
liquidated damages. BIDDER is required to deliver the original certified check or bid bond within 48
hours of bid opening to TEAM Engineering, Inc., 118E Main Street, Reedsburg, WI 53959. Bids may not
be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening.
The OWNER reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantity of any item or portion of the work, or
to omit portions of the work, as may be deemed necessary by the OWNER, and the same shall in no way
affect or make void the contract, except that additions to, or deductions from, the contract price will be
appropriately made. The OWNER reserves the right to waive any informalities, or to reject any or all
bids, or any part of a bid, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the OWNER,
will best serve the interest of the OWNER. Bid security will be retained if the Bidder is awarded the
work and fails to execute the Agreement and furnish Performance and Payment Bonds.
The letting of the work described herein is subject to the provisions of Sections 66.29 and 66.293,
Wisconsin Statutes.
