ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Notice is hereby given by the Town of Excelsior, Sauk County, Wisconsin, that it will receive bids for
Road work for 2025 season including crackfilling and sealcoating on various roads within the Township
until: Friday April 11 th at 10 AM, at the Town of Excelsior Town Hall, Rock Springs.
The bids will be opened and read, with awards being made at the monthly meeting on April 15 th 2025 at
6:30 pm.

[email protected] and the list of roads and specs can be emailed to you.
The Town of Excelsior reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or accept the bid most
advantageous to the Town. The envelope must be marked “Sealed Road Bids”.

Spring is coming and with the current weather conditions the frost is coming out of the ground and breaking up roads could be quite extensive.

Town of Excelsior’s roads are Class “B” which allows haulers to carry 60% of a legal load.

NOTICE OF POSSIBLE QUORUM

Notice is hereby given that a quorum of the Town of Excelsior Board of Supervisors might be present for the Sauk County Unit Meeting to be held Thursday, November 21^st, 2024 beginning at 7PM at the Sauk County Highway Shop 620 Linn St., Baraboo, WI  53913.

Though no Town of Excelsior business will be acted on, this notice is being posted to comply with Wisconsin Open Meetings Law, which requires public notice to be given when a quorum of a governmental body may be gathered together, unless the event is for educational purposes only.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

DISCONTINUANCE OF PART OF VIRGINIA STREET

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Town of Excelsior will hold a public hearing at the Excelsior Town Hall, 100 E. Broadway Street, Rock Springs, Wisconsin, on the November 13^th, 2024, at 6:30 p.m., on the Board Resolution to initiate the discontinuance of part of the right-of-way of Virginia Street in Aults Addition to Lake Virginia, located in the Southeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 8, Township 12 North, Range 5 East, in the Town of Excelsior.  A Plat of Survey containing a complete legal description and a scale map depicting the part of the right-of-way of Virginia Street proposed to be discontinued is on file at the Town Hall and incorporated herein by reference.

            The Town Board will meet immediately following the public hearing to approve/deny/table the discontinuance of part of the right-of-way of Virginia Street.
