City of Reedsburg Wastewater Treatment Plant Project

The City of Reedsburg’s existing wastewater treatment plant is located within the floodway and has been seriously impacted by flooding in both 2008 and 2018.  Additionally, the treatment facility has become overloaded and portions of the treatment facility would need expension or replacement.

There will be blasting at the Rock Springs Quarry on Friday, September 22nd during their normal permitted hours.


Ken Nolden Years of Service Gathering

The Town of Excelsior celebrated past Chairman Ken Nolden’s tenure of service afterTuesday’s, April 18th, 2023 meeting.  Ken opted to not run for Chairman again.  We would like to wish him well on his future endeavors.  


Continuing Education on Drinking Water

Free Continuing Education Class on Drinking Water Offered at UW Baraboo Sauk County Campus

UW-Platteville Continuing Education Institute, in partnership with Sauk County Land Resources and Environment Department, welcome you to the Baraboo Sauk County Campus for a free informative learning session with groundwater expert, Kevin Masarik. 

Join us on Wednesday, April 26 from 6:00 – 7:30 pm, in the Rodem’s Room, UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County (1006 Connie Rd., Baraboo, WI) for the What’s in Your Drinking Water?. How do you know if your water is safe to drink? Does your water have a strange smell or taste? Will a simple water filter pitcher do the trick? What is the quality of Wisconsin’s groundwater and what are ways that it can be protected? Join Groundwater Education Specialist Kevin Masarik for a presentation on drinking water, what you should know, testing options available and more. This class is open to both city and well water consumers.

This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.

Garbabge and Recycle Pick Up Monday, December 26th

Garbage and Recycling that was scheduled for Friday, December 23rd will now be on Monday, December 26th.   The normal schedule will resume on Friday, December 30th.   Please have your toters set out by 6AM.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

There will be no in person office hours this year. Please mail your payments or use the locked drop box outside the front door at the town hall. This will be checked daily. Remember, you can also pay online! Visit our website at townofexcelsior.com/Community/ Online Payments. There will be a 2.65% processing fee. Happy Holiday’s everyone!
